Weekend Timeline
Friday, August 2nd
- 12p-8p: Racer Packet Pick-Up. Location: Hard Headed of Steamboat.
- Join us at our new packet pick-up location, centrally located within downtown Steamboat Springs. Surrounded by plenty of shops & dining options.

Saturday, August 3rd
- 6:30am-7am - Last Minute Bike Racer Packet Pickup
- Behind Howelsen Lodge, on the grass. Look for the Registration tent.
- Open to bike racers only at this time. Run packet pickup will be later in the day.
- 6:00am - Racer Parking Opens
- The closest all day parking to our race start finish is located at the Howelsen Hill parking lots and/or the Steamboat Rodeo Grounds. For those that can, we recommend biking to the venue for a little warm-up!
- 7:15am-8:15am – Race Waves Start Based on Category at Stables Parking Lot (835 Howelsen Pkwy; Steamboat Springs, CO 80487)
- 7:15 am - ALL Pro/Open Racers
- 7:30 am - Singlespeed and Clydesdale/Xena
- 7:50 am - Duo Male
- 8:00 am - Duo Co-Ed, Duo Female and Citizen Female
- 8:15 am - Citizen Male
- 9:00am-1.30pm - Run Day Packet Pickup behind Howelsen Lodge, on the grass.
- 9:45am – Duo Transition area opens - after lap finish line behind Howelsen Lodge
- This year ONLY DUO RACERS will have an untimed transition. You will be afforded 5-minutes after you cross the finish line to safely find your race partner and encourage them as they start the second lap.
- We recommend first lap teammates to ride with a location tracking app installed on their phone (Strava premium, Find My Friends, Glympse, Life360 or similar). This will allow second lap teammates to keep tabs on their teammates progress along the course, and better plan for the appropriate time to arrive to the Duo Transition area.
- 11:00am – Lunch/Beer Opens
- Lunch provided by the Ice House and beer from Storm Peak Brewing available to racers only! We will not have food/beverage sales on site. We will have one food truck onsite.
- 11:30am – Anticipated first finisher
- 12:15pm – First Lap Cutoff - Course closed to anyone who has not started 2nd lap
- 1:30pm – Awards Ceremony
- We will honor the top 3 finishers in each category.
- While we will have prize drawings through the afternoon as well, it will not be required to be present in order to win.
- 4:15pm – Anticipated last finisher - Course Closed

Sunday, August 4th
- 6:00am-7:00am - Last Minute Run Racer Packet Pickup
- 6:30am - Racer Parking Opens
- 7:00am - Marathon Start
- All marathon racers will start near Howelsen Lodge at this time.
- 7:30am - Half Marathon Start
- All half marathon racers will start near Howelsen Lodge at this time.
- 8:30am - 10K Start
- All 10K racers will start near Howelsen Lodge at this time.
- 9:00am - Anticipated first Half Marathon finisher
- 9:05am - Anticipated first 10K finisher
- 9:30am - Marathon Cut Off at Beall/Ridge Aid Station
- This is 6-miles into our race. Any marathon runner that does not reach this point by 9:30am will be redirected onto the half marathon course.
- 10:15am - Anticipated first Marathon Finisher
- 10:30am - Half Marathon & 10K Awards Ceremony
- We will honor the top 3 finishers in each half marathon category, including Prince and Princess.
- 11:00am - Marathon Cut Off at Cow Creek/Beall Trailhead.
- This is 12.8-miles into our race. Any marathon runner that does not reach this point by 11:00am will be asked to return to the start/finish line via a race vehicle.
- 11:00am – Lunch/Beer Opens1
- Lunch provided by the Ice House and beer from Storm Peak Brewing available to racers only! We will not have food/beverage sales on site. We will have one food truck onsite.
- 11:30am - Marathon Awards Ceremony - We will honor the top 3 finishers in each half marathon category, including King & Queen.
- 2:30pm – Anticipated last finisher - Marathon Cutoff & Course Closed
